Morag grew up between Johannesburg's bustling South African metropolis and the lush, green open spaces of the Eastern Cape.
In 2022, Morag won an African Movie Academy Award for Best Makeup in a Film, she is also known as one of the most influential makeup artists in Africa, so much so that she appears on a South African reality competition tv show "Model" broadcast on Netflix Worldwide in 2022.
In 2020 Morag was awarded “a woman who is trailblazing the fashion and beauty industry” and in 2019, she was honoured and recognized as a South African female “dominating the global fashion and beauty industry” by Glamour Magazine. Morag achieved a Degree in Somatology in 2007, South Africa (Isa Carstens, Stellenbosch) and multiple master-level qualifications, in the Middle East and India in the fields of skincare, organic cosmetic chemistry, makeup artistry, and hair styling.
Morag is an expert at creating signature, makeup, and hair looks and truly unique, genre-bending styles for her celebrity clients and productions.
Morag’s passion is matched only by her ambition and drive to constantly evolve, for example, her appointment in 2021 as Beauty Editor for Candy Magazine, India, and an online content creator for a large variety of Asian and African-focused online platforms. Morag broadcasts a highly impactful beauty segment on Star919 FM called “The Beauty Pass” where she focuses on everything beauty, grooming, lifestyle, and wellness for everyone, no matter your sex, race, or age.
She purposefully imparts to others and is helping to grow a new generation of professionals through her masterclasses in association with Professional Beauty and Makeup Week India.

Her Fashion expertise has been utilized by influential designers like Quiteria & George (Africa Fashion Week, Campaign Shoot & a recently designed gown for Beyoncé), David Tlale (New York & Paris Fashion Week), Thula Sindi (Africa Fashion Week), Rocky Star (Photoshoot), and Vikram Phadnis (Africa Bollywood Fashion Week) and Neeta Lula (Photoshoot) to name a few.
She has also worked with renowned photographers like, Rahul Jhangiani, Prasad Naaik, Ishaan Nair, Victoria Krundysheva, Pankaj Anand, Anirudh Aggrawal, Mohit Varu and CS Toledo.
Her work has been published globally in major fashion magazines such as Vogue (India, Arabia & Italia), Elléments Magazine (New York), Shu String Magazine (Alabama), Cosmopolitan (South Africa), Destiny Magazine (South Africa), GQ (South Africa, African & India, Elle (India), Femina (India) and FHM (India) to name a few.
In addition, Morag has worked on major motion pictures, such as “Ray” is an Indian anthology drama series created by Sayantan Mukherjee, based on the works of Satyajit Ray (released 20, June 2021) directed by Vasan Bala, as well as “Angelielna” (released, 8 October 2021) an Uga Carlini Film, both Netflix Originals, released in 208 countries worldwide. "Sollividava" (released 9, February 2018), directed by 'Action King' Arjun Sarja, and “1921” (released 2018) by Vikram Bhatt. (releasing in 2021). She has also worked on a multi-award-winning hybrid film “Alison” (released 2016) by Uga Carlini, hailed for its groundbreaking stylistic bravery and unique visual realizations, available on Amazon Prime Video, Showmax and Google Play worldwide.
For the small screen, Morag’s work includes: NBC’s E! Entertainment, How Do I Look? South Africa, (Season 1 in 2017 & 2 in 2018 Roxy Burger & Kat Sivinvasen), Bigg Boss 2017 (Kamal Hassan) , SaReGaMaPa Little Champs 2017 (Neha Kakkar).
